Project Detail
At a total value of $100 million, the Bergen County New Agency Building and Parking Garage stands as the largest public works project in the history of Bergen County NJ. The six-story, steel framed building is located directly behind the iconic courthouse in Hackensack NJ and will house more than 125,000 square feet of office space for the county’s Justice Center. Some key features of the project included two 25-ton trusses and a three-story pedestrian bridge connecting the new building to the existing courthouse. The building’s lateral force resisting system consisted of numerous braced bays with “Class B” slip critical connections. To achieve this slip critical rating, B&B performed abrasive sandblasting and applied a special epoxy primer, all within our climate controlled facility in order to ensure the highest quality.
